Summary:
Framed and convicted of murder, Yoshiaki Maeda has just arrived at Shouran Academy Juvenile Detention Center. He is placed in Cell 4 and is soon greeted by his fellow inmates Gou Iwakura, Masafumi Yoshioka, and Mitsuru Yamanoi, all of whom have been detained on varying charges and sentences. Already believing life to be laden with misfortunes, Yoshiaki finds, to his dismay, that the prison is in the midst of a violent power struggle.

Apocalypse no Toride was serialized in Shounen Rival until its discontinuance in June 2014 (2014-07). The last twelve chapters of the series were published on Kodansha's Shin Zasshi Kenkyuujou website from August 19, 2014 to August 4, 2015.
The series has been simultaneously published in English as Fort of Apocalypse by Crunchyroll since October 30, 2013. Kodansha Comics USA released the series in e-book format from November 3, 2015 to January 12, 2016.
